Gort's Gouda Cheese Farm

Gort's Gouda Cheese Farm

The family operated farm has been producing Gouda cheese for over 20 years. In that time they have added Quark, Feta, and Yogurt to their product list. Receive a guided tour to learn how Gouda is made in the traditional Dutch way, from the milk to packaging. Of course don't forget to sample the many delectable varieties. So come taste a bit of Holland right here in British Columbia.

   

Village Cheese

The Village Cheese Company

Armstrong, famous for it's cheese, is home to the Village Cheese View the traditional process of making cheddar and sample some of the award winning cheeses. Enjoy the homemade ice cream as you wander the gift shop.


   

Larch Hills Winery

Nestled on the side of the Larch Hills, overlooking two valleys, this winery provides the most spectacular views, and the wines that they produce are equally spectacular. Let them guide you through the wine making process and then sample the award winning wines as you look around the wine and gift shop.

   

Recline Ridge Winery

Salmon Arm's most northern winery is peacefully situated in a beautiful valley setting. Wander around the vineyard and then enter the magnificent log home that houses the winery. Enjoy a guided tour and tasting as you relax in the peaceful setting of this award winning VQA winery.

   

Granite Creek Winery

The farm, Granite Creek Farms, is situated on a very unique and strategically located piece of land in the Shuswap Lake country. It crosses the entire valley at the head of Tappen Valley and serves as the eastern gateway to Skimikin Valley.

Canada's only certified organic farmhouse microbrewery! They specialize in Irish Ales from a pale ale to a dark stout. The process starts with hops grown right on the farm. So wander the farm and view this unique form of ale making.

   
Haney House Heritage Park

Haney House Heritage Park

Take a trip back in time as you wander through the park viewing the historic displays. Visit the heritage home, the blacksmith shop, the church, the school, the museum or some of the other displays available. Grab a bite to eat or a cup of tea at the teahouse. During the months of July and August take in the production from "The Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre"

Housed in a traditional old barn, this place is more than just a fruit stand. The highlight of this stop is the Native Cultural display. Learn about Native heritage including how to build a teepee. This family owned and operated orchard specializes in growing a wide variety of apples. Pick your own fruit or visit the store to purchase pre-picked and learn more the apple growing process. Tours of the farm are available.

DeMilles Fruit & Produce

A family owned and operated farm producing a variety of vegetables and specializing in sweet corn. Visit the store for a wide variety of local fruit and produce, plus browse through the gift items available. Then grab an ice cream and stroll around the free petting zoo, if time permits check out the corn maze.

Chickadee Ridge Miniatures

The largest breeder of quality, refined, well pedigreed miniature horses in Canada. This farm has so much to offer for the animal enthusiast. Besides the miniatures there are also monkeys, deer, raccoons, sheep, and other exotic animals, birds, and reptiles. There is also a picnic and food service area with tables and playground equipment. The theatre just celebrated it’s 25th anniversary.  They run a summer and winter production annually, providing first class entertainment.  The farmland theatre offers an unique experience as the worlds of nature, farming, and artistic culture intertwine.

The Canadian Adventure and Education Centre located in Turtle Valley offers great family adventures. Specializing in climbing and kayaking they offer a variety of events to test your skills and provide hours of fun and excitement. Experience the wildlife of the wetlands while kayaking. When trying your hand at climbing you can take the high road or the low road, which ever suits you best.

 

 

   
Historic O'Keefe Ranch

Historic O'Keefe Ranch

Take a step back in time as you stroll down the boardwalk and visit the various displays including a blacksmith's shop, St. Anne's Church, the General Store and more. Take a guided tour of the luxurious mansion, see the family's residence and those of the servants. Enjoy lunch in the restaurant or a picnic in the yard.

 

   

Phoebe Ann

Enjoy a relaxing, scenic, cruise on Shuswap Lake aboard this 58 passenger paddle wheeler.  Points of interest include the Indian Rock Paintings, Marble Point, Totem Pole Resort, Cinnemousun Narrows, Narrows Village, and more depending on the length of the tour. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner cruises are available. The scenery is breathtaking aboard the Phoebe Ann.

   
 

The Mini Train

Take a ride on a miniature train, travel through a replica of an old railway tunnel, over a bridge, and through the “prairies”.  Wander through the on site train museum. A great treat for kids of all ages!
